This past Saturday Sneakercon had its second ever event in the UK. The London Excel did well to accommodate the large amount of attendees. With a que that felt like it took 10 minutes to walk past, the event didn’t fail to impress, bringing out some of the best releases of 2017 and some golden throwbacks too. Nike’s Off White collaboration was the main attraction of the day, while Supreme x Louis Vuitton took the 2nd spot, the later was the cause of the domestic that occurred. Rumor goes a guy stole a Supreme LV wallet. What is not a rumor, is us witnessing him running away and being apprehended with excessive force. There was some commotion but this soon died down.
A positive highlight was witnessing a couple of young friends winning a pair of NMD Human Racers from the Crep Protect machine, which also drew a large crowd but one filled with awe and envy – pleasant compared to the gladiator like spectating from earlier. With youtubers such as Unknown Vlogs, Qrew TV and TonyD2Wild it was a melting pot of streetwear culture.
